  • The reworked NAFTA rules have been announced
    01 Apr 2018

Very soon the new rules under the reworked NAFTA will be introduced. According to the sources, the North American Free Trade Agreement stipulates that a certain amount of automotive production must be carried out in areas paying higher salaries.  Setting such wage requirements for the auto industry under the North American Free Trade Agreement could benefit the United States and Canada, whose unions say that lower Mexican pay has caused a drift in manufacturing capacity to Mexico. The U.S. plan aims to explore what percentage of output could be in areas paying higher salaries, and at...

The potential legal battle between the family of the woman killed by Uber’ self-driving vehicle ends. In a letter to Uber sent Tuesday, the California Department of Motor Vehicles said the company had not indicated it would renew its testing license when it expires March 31.  In order to renew the license, Uber would have to address any...

  • Uber blocked in Arizona after the last week's fatal crash
    26 Mar 2018

Uber can not test self-driving cars on Arizona’s public roads anymore. The governor of the state has announced this decision after the fatal crash that killed a 49-year-old pedestrian. The decision to block Uber Technologies Inc.'s is a blow to the ride-hailing company, which sees its future success reliant on driverless vehicles, and trails competitors such as Alphabet Inc.'s Waymo in developing the technology. Arizona had been a key hub for Uber, with about half of the company's 200 self-driving vehicles and a staff of hundreds. In a letter sent to Uber CEO Dara Khosro...

  • The Driver of a Dodge Challenger Hellcat Arrested at 160 mph
    25 Mar 2018

When you catch the big fish, don’t you want the whole world to know about it? Of course, you do, that’s exactly what happened in this situation. The Indiana State Police busted a 707-horsepower muscle car booking it at more than 160 miles per hour. The ISP were chuffed enough about the catch that they put out a press release titled, "160 Mile Per Hour Hellcat Tamed On The Indiana Toll Road." The Dodge Challenger Hellcat driver, J. Jesus Duran Sandoval, told the arresting officer that he was "just trying to get to Maryland." The coppers took Sandov...
