  • Tesla Blames Bosch for Model S Recall
    06 May 2018

Tesla has issued a voluntary recall for around 123,000 early made Model S sedans due to complaints from some owners about corroding power-steering bolts that are exposed regularly to calcium or magnesium road salts. These salts are used in cold climates usually. The recall announcement noted that there have been no accidents or injuries caused by this problem, and the recall was issued as a precautionary measure. The voluntary recall relates to Model S sedans that were manufactured previous to April 2016. Model S sedans manufactured after this date seem to be unaffected. The bolts, that w...

    24 Apr 2018

China and the U.S. might not be in th eir best relationship nowadays, but that doesn’t mean BMW will give up its sales goals. BMW will export its first full-electric SUV, called the iX3, to global markets after it goes into production in 2020 at its joint-venture plant in China.  The iX3 project makes BMW the first major luxury-car maker to ship high-tech vehicles from China, in a sign consumers no longer equate the country with cheap products. The internet has made the field very tough, by making car prices more transparent for customers and giving them the opportunity to shop around. It has also ...

  • General Motors will no longer report its monthly sales
    02 Apr 2018

General Motors will stop reporting the U.S. vehicle sales. The company thinks that the snapshot of 30-days doesn’t reflect the actual situation of the market. GM will also no longer report monthly sales in China, its largest market, and Brazil.  The company will still have to provide its monthly sales to the U.S. Federal Reserve, industry associations and government agencies across the globe but the information won’t be public for simple people anymore. GM and its Detroit rivals Ford Motor Co and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles NV have relied heavily on sales of high-margin pic...

  • BMW pokes fun at Audi by placing an unusual billboard
    09 Feb 2018

In Tunis a local BMW dealer poked fun at his competitor by placing a billboard saying "It's never too late to change your mind." The billboard was placed just a few meters from the dealer center selling various VAG products, including Audis, Porsches and VWs.   As the footnote shows, the billboard was commissioned by Ben Jemâa Motors, an official BMW and Mini dealer in Tunisia. Just a few days later Audi issued a prompt response to BMW’s passive-aggressive message. The new billboard starting with a big “LOOOL” at the...
