Single women are buying more SUV's, fueling a surge in demand that has 2016 on pace to top last year’s record 17.5 million light-vehicle sales in the U.S. Starting with 2010 to 2015, small SUV sales to women rose 34% compared with a 22% rise for men.. At the same time, premium small SUV's though smaller in raw numbers, saw 177% growth in sales to women. More than 40% among these female vehicle buyers aren't married.
