Volkswagen has named a new executive Hinrich J. Woebcken to supervise the North American region, assuming responsibility for all the activities of the VW brand. Mr. Woebcken will take up his duties in April. As of this week, more than half those owners will receive recall notices. 16 units of its i8 hybrid sports car in the US has issued a recall because of the drilled holes in the Dynamic Stability Control (DSC).
