The used car market continues to show remarkable resilience with values of two-year-old ex-PCP cars in May 2018 retaining 61% of their value new, a figure unchanged from May last year. Sales of plug-in hybrid cars soared by almost three-quarters year on year in May, dramatically outstripping the 3.4% overall growth in new car registrations. Electric car sales around the world rose by 54 percent in 2017, taking global stock across the three-million threshold, the International Energy Agency said in a report.
