It's a hard goal for the car industry in US to sell more than 17 million cars and light trucks year. Buyer demand will become sated at one point. Thus, sales would begin to drop from their recent peak, which will create a set of difficult challenges for car companies that operate in the United States. The lawsuit isn’t the first time Apple has faced legal tro...
Questions about Uber's driver screening aren't about to go away any time soon. A Dallas woman is suing Uber and Honda after her ridesharing driver ran a red light, leading to a crash that left her paralyzed from the chest down. The lawsuit alleges that the parties involved (including the driver and the Odyssey minivan's owner) not only didn't provide adequate safety, but let the driver operate the vehicle without insurance. He had also been arrested for drug and gambling charges that should have been red flags, according to the suit. An Uber attorney had no comment. ...
Automakers may recall as many as 400,000 vehicles that have Autoliv Inc. seat belt and airbag parts worldwide, the Swedish auto safety parts maker said on Friday. No crashes or injuries have been reported in the two separate issues Autoliv reported to U.S. safety regulators and the costs of the potential recalls will not be material to Autoliv earnings, company spokesman Thomas Jonsson said. Autoliv said there are possible glitches in its widely used seat belt pretensioners, which work to tighten seat belts to better secure a driver or passenger, and a product that initiates the pro...
