The automaker has begun informing suppliers that it will not build the next-generation Fusion at its plant in Hermosillo, Mexico, where the car is currently made. The U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said on Friday it was rejecting a petition by Ford to delay recall of about 3 million cars with potentially defective Takata airbag inflators.
