While Mercedes-Benz sales in the U.S. dropped in May, demand on the German brand's cars in Europe and China grew considerably and helped to offset the general loss.The automaker's sales results in Europe and in China were also helped by robust deliveries of SUVs and compact models, which rose 16 percent and 42 percent respectively.
