A train carrying BMW's X-badged SUVs and crossovers from BMW's manufacturing plant in the American state of South Carolina has derailed damaging 120 vehicles. These vehicles were on their way to the Port of Charleston, S.C., for export to overseas markets. BMW said damaged models include the BMW X3, X4, X5 and X6 but did not specify how many of each model was damaged. Tata Motors' Jaguar Land Rover November 2016 US sales included a 217% year on year rise in Jaguar volume to 3,381 units. Land Rover sales reached 5,659 units, the second highest November on record but down 13% from the record 6,539 units in November 2015. More than 71,700 models of Kia Sportage crossovers from U.S. were recalled by Kia Motors America. The affected crossovers are from the 2008 and 2009 model years and were assembled between Aug. 9, 2007, and May 13, 2009. The cover on the Sportage’s braking control unit might not be sealed properly, Kia said in documents filed with the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
