Honda plans to invest in US, and we don’t whether it was an impact of Donald Trump’s threatens or something else, but the automaker says it wants to open an aeroacoustic wind tunnel test center in East Liberty, Ohio. It will include an interchangeable belt system with a five-belt rolling road system for production vehicles, including Honda and Acura cars and light trucks, and a single wide-belt system for high-performance vehicles and racecars. China's Zhejiang Geely Holding Group has delayed Lynk & CO's sales launch in Europe and the United States because it needs more time to establish a company-owned dealership network. Alain Visser, Lynk & CO's senior vice president of marketing and sales, said that they will start in Europe between the first quarter and the first half of 2019 and enter the U.S. some months later. Originally, Lynk planned to debut in both markets in late 2018, starting with sales of the 01 compact crossover. Volvo Car Corp.’s sister brand also revealed this week that Berlin a...

Cadillac marketing chief Uwe Ellinghaus claims that the U.S. sales party isn't over yet. U.S. sales will probably plateau this year just below 2016’s record finish and hover at near-record levels for some time. He says that what others call a “cooling off” is probably the best thing that has ever happened, because levels that were once seen as excessive are now sustainable. U.S. sales edged ahead 0.3 percent in 2016 to end the year at 17.5 million units, a seventh straight year of gains. Through March of this year, however, sales were down 1.6 percent, with Ca...
It’s been a while since the last time we’ve told you about a car recall, right? Well it seems like it was everything fine until now when Subaru decided to recall its 2018 Impreza, because of a software issue. The problem is that the engine might get stalled because of it and it has to be fixed. The recall covers 33, 131 Impreza sedans and hatchbacks in the U.S. built between Sept. 13, 2016, and March 15, 2017, according to documents posted on the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s recall database. The company also issued a stop-sale order for new, uns...
