  • THESE 5 MODELS DOMINATE THE US ELECTRIC MARKET
    09 Oct 2016

This September US electric car sales have risen 0,87%, it is already a big plus for the green cars market, even though it still has a long way to go. The plug-in cars market is dominated just like a few years ago by Tesla, and a few other models like Chevy Volt, Ford Fusion Energi and Nissan Leaf-that keeps hanging in there despite the growing and coming competition.  We were expecting for the green cars sales to grow, and evolve, because we have great expectations that by 2025 the country will be dominated by these types of vehicles. But, we couldn't help but obse...

  • The road fatalities in US rise 10% this year
    07 Oct 2016

This year is on it's 10th month already and we were trying to make some calculations already on how much did rise the traffic fatalities. Last year has marked the highest rise in traffic fatalities since 1996, and of course we were hoping that this year things are going to change for the best.  The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has revealed the results, and once again they are too high. Road deaths in the US rose 10.4 percent in the first six months of 2016 compared to the same period in 2015. The data, which has not been finalized, reveals that an estimated...

  • September 2016 green-car sales: Volt steady, Leaf higher
    05 Oct 2016

It's three-quarters of the way through the year, and green-car watchers can probably surmise that 2016 won't likely be a banner year for sales of hybrids, plug-in hybrids, or – gasp – diesels. Through September, US green-car sales have fallen a solid 19 percent from a year earlier to about 321,000 units. And that's factoring plug-in vehicle sales that have risen 16 percent to almost 87,000 units. With that context, then, September wasn't a bad month: last month's green-car sales were down just one percent from a year earlier to more than 40,000 vehicles. &n...

    03 Oct 2016

Japanese automakers Toyota Motor and Nissan Group posted U.S. sales increases in September, while Honda sales were flat, despite projections of an overall industry decline for the month. Toyota's sales rose 1.5% for the month to 197,260 vehicles, as the company's namesake Toyota brand rose 1.4% and its luxury Lexus brand increased 2%. American Honda sold 133,655 units in September, just 95 fewer than it sold a year earlier. The namesake Honda brand recorded a 1.5% increase, while the Acura luxury brand fell 12.9%.  Nissan Group posted a surprisingly strong month for U.S. sale...

  • U.S. Car Sales Sluggish, even as discounts rise
    03 Oct 2016

Major automakers have posted their sales results for this September, and although we had high hopes on the discounts offered by General Motors and Ford Motor. Co, nothing saved the market from crashing down. The total industry sales were at 1.44 million vehicles, which is down 0.5% for a seasonally adjusted annualized rate of 17.76 million from 18.05 million in September 2015. The top-seller in the United States- GM, posted a 0.6%decline. Ford reported an 8% drop, and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles was down 1%. Shares of the three Detroit automakers rose, led by GM with a 0.8 percent gain. Sal...
