Since the car sales have been rising in U.S. for 7 years, of course that the value of used cars we’ve got parked in our garages would dent. There are hundreds and thousands of new cars rolling out of dealerships lots and this means they instantly become used cars. The secondary market is glutted and the pace of depreciation is rapidly accelerating. Your not-that-old car might not be a clunker quite yet, but it's probably a lot closer than you think. The average used car lost 17 percent of its value in the past 12 months, dropping from $18,400 to $15,300. That annual deprec...
People across the world, show more support for electric cars, and automakers start to deliver even more electric vehicles with longer range and lower prices. China even set an aggressive target for electric vehicle sales, in order to curb pollution, European countries aim to be all-electric by 2040 or sooner. Those lofty ambitions face numerous challenges, including one practical consideration for consumers: If they buy electric cars, where will they charge them? Chevrolet aims to update its lineup by adding a budget V8 Camaro. Offering a cheaper V8 would be fantastic both from an enthusiast standpoint and from a sales perspective. Everyone likes the current Camaro with its 455-hp V8, but the $37,995 price makes it a tough sell when it's a full $2,000 more than the now more powerful 2018 Ford Mustang GT. It's also almost $4,000 more than both the outgoing 2017 Mustang GT and the Challenger R/T, the most affordable V8 Challenger. We think that if Chevy could offer a bare-bones model for a couple-thousand dollars less, perhaps without...

The increase is attributed to a decreased proportion of light trucks in the market in July compared to June. Year-over-year U.S. light-vehicle sales slid 6.9 percent in July, with car deliveries descending 14.8 percent. Across the truck segment, pickup sales dropped 1.1 percent while crossover sales increased 1.2 percent last month. Light-truck sales, including crossovers, were down 1.9 percent. July...
Genesis has amazing plans for this month, first of all it will announce a new retail strategy for the U.S., it will accelerate the separation of the automaker from the Hyundai marque, and of course will cut the number of dealerships to sell Genesis models. The transition, which was supposed to be several years off, likely will be messy and costly for Hyundai and the culled Genesis dealers. It comes less than two years after Hyundai announced the creation of the Genesis brand, barely a year after it officially put the G80 and G90 sedans on sale and just ahead of the launch of a critical ne...
