After 7 years of car sales growth new auto sales have declined 4.7 percent, following a 1.6 percent decline in March. Car manufacturers spent average of $3,814 per car sold in the first part of April but despite that the drop occurred. For total industry sales to reach a peak and start declining isn't a surprise to anyone, and it could be great for car buyers moving forward. Even carmakers don't seem to be terribly concerned with the decline in the number of total vehicles sold, as they're making more on each car they sell right now because their product mix is more heav...
If you think the last time you visited a dealership the dealers seemed more worried or even pushier than before, you might be right. They have a good reason by the way, simply because a new analysis revealed that the selling process of a vehicle now takes longer. That's despite them substantially ramping up incentives meant to sweeten their offer. While the industry retail sales pace remains high, it is being powered by elevated levels of incentive spending which pose a serious threat to the long-term health of the industry. What else interesting happened in the U.S. car industry aside from the Tesla being the leader in the electric car sales, and the big three carmakers revealing low car sales? Well, there are some stats you’ll also like to know from the March US car sales. More than 1000 U.S. consumers have participated at the survey we’re talking about right now, and it seems like people have no more doubts about buying cars online, they have seen that it is totally real and is 100% worth it. Data shows that the public demand for such services is still evolving. Although the survey has found intense interest for buying vehicles online, a recent report from dealer software provider told another story...
Ford Motor Co., looking to bounce back from a 12% sales decline in October, has launched a Black Friday clearance sale several weeks before those sales typically take place. The automaker is offering $1,000 “Black Friday Cash” rebates on 2016 and 2017 model-year vehicles, in addition to other offers. For years, automakers didn’t aggressively participate in Black Friday merchandising, instead relying on year-end clearances. In addition to tagging its sale as a Black Friday promotion, Ford is also calling the sale a “year-end event.” A spate of Black Frid...
