Maserati North America Inc. is recalling more than 1,000 of its newest luxury cars to fix leaky fuel pipes that increase the potential for an engine fire. The cars haven’t yet been delivered to customers, and they’ll be fixed before individuals are able to drive off with them, according to Matteo Sardi, a spokesman for the carmaker. The company said the flaw, caused by a part...

The redesigned QX50, scheduled to reach dealerships in the first quarter of 2018, is the world’s first production car with a variable-compression engine, using technology that Nissan Motor Co. has been working on for about 20 years. The 2.0-liter, four-cylinder turbo increases the vehicle’s fuel economy to a combined rating of 27 mpg for the fro...
Based on costumer reports Toyota and Lexus rank the top 2 brands for reliability for the fifth year in a row. The rankings of the remaining 25 brands reflect a game of musical chairs, however. Consumer Reports' 2017 Auto Reliability Survey found "growing pains" among automakers with new and updated cars and light trucks, with "wonky" engines and "jerky" eight- and nine-speed and continuously variable transmissions, as well as infotainment systems, among the top problems. The magazine said its survey shows some but not all automakers are quick to res...
