  • Hyundai and Kia Report 6.7% Growth in U.S. Sales in July
    10 Aug 2016

Hyundai Motor Co. and its smaller affiliate, Kia Motors Corp., saw their combined U.S. sales rise by more than 6 percent in July, thanks in large part to strong sales in sport utility vehicles. The two South Korean auto giants sold 134,972 units in the U.S. market last month, up from 127,324 units in the same month last year, exceeding the country’s automobile industry average growth rate of 5.3 percent.  Hyundai reported that its sales rose 5.6 percent from last year to 75,003 while Kia reported a total of 59,969 units, up 6.4 percent compared with a year ago. Both automakers ...

  • Top 3 automakers saw declines in the US car sales
    02 Aug 2016

U.S. auto sales were expected to drop slightly in July. The weather was unusually hot and probably this kept buyers at home. According to sales figures for July, the substantial growth that lasted for more than five years in the resurgent U.S. automobile industry might finally be leveling off.  Gains by Nissan and Honda last month were overshadowed by declines at the world's three largest automakers – Ford, General Motors and Toyota. Overall, U.S. auto sales increased by only 0.7 percent. The data shows that sales declined by 3 percent at Ford Motor Co., in July, 4 percent ...

  • Volkswagen passes Toyota as top-selling car brand
    28 Jul 2016

Despite the ongoing emissions scandal and slumping U.S. sales, Volkswagen Group overtakes Toyota as the largest automaker in 2016's first half. Its sales volume raised 1,5% from the year-earlier period to 5,11 million vehicles.   Of course, the scandal involving Volkswagen's diesel models has had a significant impact on sales, but the automaker's Audi luxury brand and mass-media market Skoda brand did well. This was due to the fact that consumers in Europe were less aware of emissions problems with those two brands. China, being the world's largest automobile market, ...

  • FCA reporting cheating sales!
    24 Jul 2016

FCA has been cheating on automobile sales, by reporting higher results than they have for real, that is what sources are talking about right now. The sources did not specify the time period covered by the review but it revealed that 5,000 to 6,000 vehicles that were told to be sold by dealers, were unwound after. It's been told that the sales numbers were inflated in part under pressure to preserve FCA's streak of U.S. monthly year-over-year sales increases, which now stands at 75 months.  The employee turnover rate among sales staff in the company's nine business ce...

  • Houston car sales for June slow down and recover at the same time
    14 Jul 2016

Automobile sales during this June in Minneapolis fell 22% compared with the same month a year earlier. It is the fourth consecutive double-digit percentage decline in year-over-year sales. Through the whole 2016 year, this trend of falling down sales might continue, and it might go even further. By going further we mean this decline will evolve through the next few years.   The Houston area in June logged another sharp, year-over-year drop in auto sales despite a surge of flood victims replacing vehicles. It was announced that last month's sales figures were 21% higher ...
