A Rare 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona discovered in a rural barn in Alabama will be sold at an auction in Florida next month.
The collectible car has been rusting for decades and it was going to go under the hammer, but it was taken to an auction in Florida with the current estimate of $150,000-$180,000.
The Dodge which hadn't moved for decades, was found in the farm building around 60 miles south of Montgomery, Alabama, by a man from Greenwood.
He was in the area to check out another car nearby and was directed to the barn which housed the rusting red and white Daytona 'muscle car'.
The vehicle has flames painted on the front fenders. With a 440 Magnum V-8 engine, nearly all its original parts and only 20,553 miles on the odometer could bring him a lot of money.
However, the years have clearly got to it. Judging from the images, many elements will need to be completely replaced — if the buyer restores it — that will likely cost more.
