  • A historically strong September but not for GM and Ford
    17 Oct 2016

U.S. auto sales have been really strong this September, but it seems like this year dealership traffic appears to have lowered after more than six straight years of steady growth. Almost all the automakers: General Motors, Ford, Fiat Chrysler and Honda reported declines, but Asian counterparts like Toyota and Nissan managed to register growth. The seasonally adjusted annual rate for September stood at 17.45 million units. Retail sales have eased since solid numbers were seen in the second half of last year. As such automakers are heavily spending on discounts and incentives to keep their f...

  • The 2017 Lincoln Continental gets recalled
    13 Oct 2016

It's been not so long since Ford announced the launch on the markets of its new Lincoln Continental, and now the automaker announced that the new vehicles are being recalled. The HID headlights may have been assembled with LED lens that don't have the correct lens optics to meet federal visibility requirements for turn signals. Ford says it is unaware of any accidents related to the issue. The company will replace the headlamp assemblies, if needed.  The safety compliance recall covers 1,876 Continentals built from June 14 to Sept. 23 at Ford's Flat Rock factory sou...

  • Tesla's sedans are dominating the segment
    12 Oct 2016

Tesla is keeping up with its ever-expanding ambitions, even though it faces lots of obstacles, and has lots of competitors it knows how to build a product, and how to sell it. Its model S sales jumped 59% over the same quarter last year, which means it increases its importance between other luxury cars. The carmaker may keep its sales results confidential, but one thing it still reveals, that Tesla is responsible now in the U.S. for almost a third of sales in the sedans' segment. Its nearest competitors are the newly updated BMW 7-Series and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class. Spokespeople for...

  • THESE 5 MODELS DOMINATE THE US ELECTRIC MARKET
    09 Oct 2016

This September US electric car sales have risen 0,87%, it is already a big plus for the green cars market, even though it still has a long way to go. The plug-in cars market is dominated just like a few years ago by Tesla, and a few other models like Chevy Volt, Ford Fusion Energi and Nissan Leaf-that keeps hanging in there despite the growing and coming competition.  We were expecting for the green cars sales to grow, and evolve, because we have great expectations that by 2025 the country will be dominated by these types of vehicles. But, we couldn't help but obse...
