  • New Car Sales Drop 15.7 Percent in March

    New car registration figures for March reveal a sharp drop in sales. The number of sales is 15.7 percent lower compared to the same month last year.  A big part of that fall is due to bumper sales in March 2017, as drivers flooded the dealers to beat the then-new road tax system.      Donald Trump proposed a 25 percent tariff on some goods, including automobiles, imported from China.     General Motors Co and Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, both posted sales gains in new vehicles in March. The luckiest this month is GM, the company revealed a 16% jump in new car sales compared to the same month last year.  Fiat Chrysler reported a 14% increase in sales in March.
