  • The new Q5 keeping Audi on upward US sales trajectory?
    04 Oct 2016

The 2017 Audi Q5 is the best SUV for you if you want a stylish and comfortable premium-compact crossover that’s available with one of the segment’s most potent powertrains. Audi US boss, Scott Keogh say that still, the first Q5 is the most successful Audi they have ever launched by far. Now Keogh has to repeat the success with a whole new, second generation Q5, which saw its debut in Paris.  Similar in certain design elements to the latest Q7, the 2018 Q5 will be built mainly at a new plant in Mexico and sold all over the world, including in China. Keogh claims that they ...

  • Nissan, Toyota U.S. sales up, Honda sales are down
    03 Oct 2016

Japanese automakers Toyota Motor and Nissan Group posted U.S. sales increases in September, while Honda sales were flat, despite projections of an overall industry decline for the month. Toyota's sales rose 1.5% for the month to 197,260 vehicles, as the company's namesake Toyota brand rose 1.4% and its luxury Lexus brand increased 2%. American Honda sold 133,655 units in September, just 95 fewer than it sold a year earlier. The namesake Honda brand recorded a 1.5% increase, while the Acura luxury brand fell 12.9%.  Nissan Group posted a surprisingly strong month for U.S. sale...

  • Who leads the Luxury Car Segment in U.S?
    30 Sep 2016

After a record-breaking 2015, luxury sales are expected to slow down, that's what analysts say. It is hard to compete with last year's sales results, and we knew it all along. One of the Analysts say that at the moment, the possibility of 2016 to be able to beat 2015's record, is close to 0.  For the past 10 years, sales for premium brands have grown faster than non-premium carmakers and SUVs have sold faster than cars. Though that trend is expected to continue, the market for new luxury cars and SUVs is beginning to cool after showing signs of tapering toward the end of ...

  • Auto industry can now afford low auto sales?
    28 Sep 2016

Bulk sales to fleets and a record level of discounting have softened the blow, but underperforming retail demand is catching up with U.S. auto sales this month. Forecasters expect a modest decline in sales for the month of September – say, down less than 1 percent. That should put year-to-date sales roughly dead even or possibly slightly lower than a year ago. U.S. automakers will report September sales on Monday.  At the end of 2015, most analysts expected another record year for U.S. auto sales. That could still happen, but it’s looking less and less likely unless autom...

  • Volvo revival reaching 'end of the beginning'?
    25 Sep 2016

Volvo's CEO says that Volvo Car USA has turned the corner with two of its 90-series vehicles on sale and others due early next year. A U.S. sales increase of 29 percent through August is evidence that Volvo's gutsy revival strategy was the right choice. Volvo is building all its vehicles on its flexible Scalable Product Architecture, or SPA. And it is using only turbo and supercharged Drive-E engines paired with optional plug-in hybrid power. Lex Kerssemakers says that the company is on a turnaround in the U.S. that started with the XC90.   Volvo was starved for product for y...
