    09 Jan 2018

Maserati North America Inc. is recalling more than 1,000 of its newest luxury cars to fix leaky fuel pipes that increase the potential for an engine fire. The 2018 Ghibli and Quattroporte sedans – with prices starting at $73,050 and $105,600, respectively – have a faulty fuel delivery pipe in the engine compartment that may leak gasoline.   The cars haven’t yet been delivered to customers, and they’ll be fixed before individuals are able to drive off with them, according to Matteo Sardi, a spokesman for the carmaker. The company said the flaw, caused by a part...

  • Maserati going all-electric in 2 years
    01 Aug 2017

There are many automakers nowadays switching to the safe electric side, and we can’t ignore that. Maserati has promised that all its new Maseratis will be part-electric starting with 2019. It seems like Maserati is going to be the end of conglomerate’s push towards electrification, Ferrari by the way will follow up.  The first all-new fully-electric Maserati won’t arrive until 2020, based on the Alfieri concept of 2014. Before then, 2019 should see all existing product lines fitted with electric motors in as-yet unconfirmed configurations – although ...

National Highway Safety Administration's website has revealed that a new auto brand is preparing for a recall. Can you guess which one? It looks like too many luxurious brands have tough times this year, considering even Maserati is preparing for a recall. The company is planning to test and make fix if necessary more than 13,000 2014 Quattroporte and Ghibli sedans. The problem that stays behind is a counter-intuitive gear shift lever, that may lead drivers to believing the car is in park while it's not so, that may lead to rolling the car away.  The parent of Maser...

  • Audi adds Q2 and Q4 to its crossover lineup
    18 Jan 2016

Audi CEO Rupert Stadler confirmed at the Detroit Motor Show that the Audi automaker had finally persuaded FCA to release the two names that would let Audi lock up the Q1 to Q9 badges for its growing SUV family, but not the Q2 and Q4 ones, which were in Fiat Chrysler's possession. "We tried to get it years ago and they said 'No, never,' but there is never 'never' in business," said Audi chief Rupert Stadler. "This year I went back to them with a proposal and we talked and there were some negotiations and then we agreed to it."Audi has used Italian na...

  • The S90 has proved that Volvo can make a modern, luxurious car ever.
    12 Jan 2016

The all-new Volvo S90 has made its appearance at the 2016 Detroit Motor Show. The Swedes are coming off of a strong year that bested even their expectations. And there's been enough praise heaped onto the new XC90 SUV to extend to their new luxury sedan – and distract eyes from Mercedes-Benz and the 2017 E-Class. With the S90, Gothenburg hopes to take a bigger slice of the pie overflowing with competitors like the Audi A6, BMW 5 Series, and Mercedes E-Class – not to mention the Jaguar XF, Maserati Ghibli, Acura RLX, Infiniti Q70, Lexus GS, Cadillac CTS, and Lincoln MKZ. It...
