Hyundai reported an improvement in passenger car sales with 12,800 units sold in Q1, and shrank its earlier important decline. Sales included 13 models, most notably Verna, Tucson, Creta, Solaris, Grand i10, New Elantra, Accent RB, Elantra HD, Elantra AD, i10, and Accent HB.
Verna sales were the most notable, with 4,774 units sold. The other models also had interesting sales dynamics: Tucson occupied the second place, recording sales of 2,553 cars, while Elantra HD jumped from eighth place to third place. Creta and Solaris followed Elantra HD. The rest of the cited models recorded more modest results.
Hyundai has suffered a decline of 24% in its sales during Q1 of 2016 as 8,906 cars have been sold, compared to 11,600 cars sold in Q1 of 2015. Fortunately for the Korean automaker the market trends have taken a positive direction and it already managed to shrink its sales decline from 24% to 13% in Q1.
