Car Repair fails - brilliance or stupidity?

There, I Fixed It! guys don't disappoint us and continue to cheer us inventing new ways of fixing things, including cars. We all know that a visit to a good mechanic garage can cost you a small fortune and sometimes try to be economy-wise and save some money, fixing the broken things ourselves. You can nail it or you can totally mess it up, depending on the level of your creativity and tinkering skills.

Thanks to many fail enthusiasts on the web, who enjoy sharing the photos of the unusual situations they've seen, the Internet is full of pictures of ridiculous car hacks, fails or quick fixes of automobiles that have gone wrong.

  • General Motors to lay off 1,100 workers
    06 Mar 2017

General Motors promised us other things but that’s how it all turned to be, even if it said it will invest $1 billion in U.S. factories now it announced to temporarily cut off 1,100 workers in May as its Lansing Delta Township assembly plant in Michigan shifts production to Tennessee. Last year it added 800 jobs at its spring hill, Tennessee plant to build the new version of GMC Acadia SUV.  The Lansing plant will continue building the Buick Enclave and Chevrolet Traverse after it retools for a month. GM also has announced other U.S. factory cuts. U.S. President Donald Trump ha...

  • BMW recalling its 2005-8 7 Series sedans for door issue
    26 May 2017

BMW’s 7 series sedans from 2005-till 2008 get recalled, after all these years, and it has nothing to do with Trump’s threatens against BMW. The main issue of these vehicles is that their doors may open inadvertently while the vehicle is being driven.  It’s important to notice that the issue appeared back in 2012, when some of the vehicles got recalled and fixed, but it seems like a few of them are still featuring this problem. In the 2012 recall, the automaker said a software error was to blame for the unpredictable opening doors on about 7,500 7-series cars. All of...

  • May U.S. auto sales projected to rise slightly
    26 May 2017

U.S. new-vehicle sales are expected to rise very slightly in May from a year ago, narrowly snapping the industry's streak of four consecutive monthly declines. Analysts expect 2017 sales of 17.2 million, 2 percent fewer than the record 17.55 million sold last year. The annualized selling rate is projected to be less than 17 million for a third consecutive month, more evidence that the market has passed its peak. That would mean the industry will already have had as many sub-17 million months in 2017 as it did in each of the past two full years.  Other forecasts project sales-volu...
