  • Technology can always fail, but so can humans
    13 Oct 2017

As car accidents go, it wasn't much: Twelve minutes before noon on a cool June day, a Chevrolet Bolt was rear ended as it crawled from a stop light in downtown San Francisco. What made this fender bender noteworthy was the Bolt's driver: a computer.  In California, where companies such as Cruise Automation Inc. and Waymo are ramping up testing of self-driving cars, human drivers keep running into them in low-speed fender benders. The run-ins highlight an emerging culture clash between humans who often treat traffic laws as guidelines and autonomous cars that refuse to roll th...

  • Who leads the Luxury Car Segment in U.S?
    30 Sep 2016

After a record-breaking 2015, luxury sales are expected to slow down, that's what analysts say. It is hard to compete with last year's sales results, and we knew it all along. One of the Analysts say that at the moment, the possibility of 2016 to be able to beat 2015's record, is close to 0.  For the past 10 years, sales for premium brands have grown faster than non-premium carmakers and SUVs have sold faster than cars. Though that trend is expected to continue, the market for new luxury cars and SUVs is beginning to cool after showing signs of tapering toward the end of ...

  • US small cars sales went down through last 2 years!
    21 Aug 2016

A five year peak on car sales was reached last year. Even the sales of Ford Mustang, Chevrolet Camaro and Dodge Challenger had to suffer a 8.4% decline. You might start to worry about US's auto market, but that's not really the case since the drop matches more for small cars and not crossovers and SUVs, since they keep on growing. But what does the cool-down for muscle-cars in America mean? Is there any deep meaning in this decrease? Well, customers who buy Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers do that because their interested in some modern evocations of the early 60's ...

  • Classic American cars - old-fashioned or timeless?
    21 Jan 2016

The classic American cars of the 40s, 50s and 60s will always have a place in the hall of fame of car manufacturing, and a place of honor on any car exhibition or auto show.  If analyzing the specific 40's style of the US-made classic vehicles, after world war II they became lower, longer and broader in look, as well as more massive and hefty. At those times American cars offered huge trunk sizes, width and length. In the 1940s a new car cost about $800 and a gallon of gas was about 18 cents - not a bad deal. Nowadays these cars became classics and they continue to turn...

  • 2016 Tesla Model X starts $80,000
    24 Nov 2015

Tesla is making its electric SUV available to a slightly wider swath of early adopters with the Model X 70D, which starts at a low, low $80,000 (with shipping). Prices, of course, change once you factor in the $7,500 federal tax credit and other state credits. At $80,000, the cheapest Model X, called the 70D, is $5,000 more than the cheapest Model S sedan. The Model X 70D has a range of 220 miles on a single charge and top speed of 140 miles per hour. Deliveries of the basic model begin mid to late 2016, Tesla said.All-wheel drive remains standard, as do those headline-making falcon-wing doors....
