  • New surveys proove that the future of automobile sales is online
    07 Apr 2017

If you ever bought something online than you might already know how interesting and easy that is, and probably never got back to the old way of car buying after that. But if you didn’t than you still don’t know how many doors the online car sales might open.  Indeed, finding anyone of a working age who has never bought anything directly from an online store would probably be more difficult. And does anyone buy books in an actual bookstore anymore? Online shopping has become so pervasive that all the popular online selling platforms have gotten a lot of competitors, w...

  • US auto sales race: BMW pips Mercedes
    07 Apr 2017

BMW topped its rival in the US luxury auto market for the first time this year, eking out a monthly sales increase and gaining ground on Daimler AG’s Mercedes-Benz. Deliveries of the X3 and X5 sport utility vehicles climbed 43 percent and 35 percent last month, respectively, pacing BMW’s total sales of 31015 vehicles. The Munich-based automaker outsold Mercedes by about 1900 units in March. As plummeting demand for passenger cars led most automakers to miss analysts’ estimates last month, BMW managed to keep deliveries of its 3 Series and 5 Series models roughly flat compared...

  • 74% Increase In Electric Car Sales In US
    06 Apr 2017

What else interesting happened in the U.S. car industry aside from the Tesla being the leader in the electric car sales, and the big three carmakers revealing low car sales? Well, there are some stats you’ll also like to know from the March US car sales.   Firstly we’ll talk about the Nissan Leaf finally beating the Chevrolet Bolt, which was a “WOW” even for us, because we couldn’t predict that a year ago. On the flip side, it’s quite impressive to me that Nissan logged 1,478 sales of the LEAF. With the Bolt here (even if in limited supply) and the...

  • After weak March sales, concerns rise over US auto market outlook
    06 Apr 2017

Yesterday car dealers added to concerns about the state of the U.S. auto industry and how tough any downturn might be if its six-year recovery has ended. In a conference call with media and analysts, officials of the National Automobile Dealers Association said they expected sales of cars and light trucks in the United States to dip to 17.1 million vehicles this year, high by historical standards but below 2016's record 17.55 million vehicles.  Investors are also watching rising interest rates, inventories of unsold vehicles and the generosity of profit-eroding discounts that aut...

  • Rental car sector affected by the economy?
    06 Apr 2017

You can see that the U.S. car market has slumped by just reading about the loss of the big automakers in March, but that’s not all. The rental car sector does also show weakening, as bonds from some of the largest companies in the market slid off the back of declining used car prices and falling sales.  The premiums investors demand to hold bonds issued by Hertz and Avis Budget Group have surged amid the market souring on the industry, jolted further on Monday after the pace of auto sales fell 10 per cent since December. Bonds issued by the two companies were the three biggest ...
