In its statement Nissan revealed that the business which GSR will buy includes battery operations in Japan, England and of course U.S.. As automakers are doing their best to get rid off too much inventory, buyers can expect sweeter deals on small and mid-size cars. This July wasn’t expected to be a good month for US car sales but at the same time, the data are not so bad. Overall auto sales fell 7% from a year earlier to 1.42 million vehicles. Buyers will eventually have fewer choices of passenger cars as automakers shift more of their engineering resources into crossovers, SUVs and pickups.
