  • Overall U.S. auto sales fell 7% this July
    01 Aug 2017

As automakers are doing their best to get rid off too much inventory, buyers can expect sweeter deals on small and mid-size cars. Tesla made a big deal about its Model 3's base price of $35,000. The price makes it attractive to a whole new range of buyers who couldn't afford its more expensive Model S or Model X. While it's certainly true that a Model 3 will be cheapest way to get into a brand-new Tesla, let's be clear that there will be practically zero Model 3s at its base starting price of $35,000. Here's why.  Choosing any color other than black raises the Model 3's price by a grand. If you want an upgraded interior package, that will cost you additional $5,000. To be fair, a package...

    16 Jul 2017

FCA says it is recalling 1.33 million vehicles worldwide in two separate campaigns for potential fire risks and inadvertent airbag deployments. The automaker said it is recalling about 770,000 SUVs because of a wiring issue that may lead to inadvertent deployment of the driver-side airbag and is linked to reports of five related minor injuries, but no crashes.   The company said wiring could chafe against pieces of steering-wheel trim, potentially causing a short-circuit and ultimately leading to an inadvertent airbag deployment. The recall covers 538,000 2011-2015 Dodge Journey vehi...
