Fiat Chrysler is recalling 1.4 million Ram pickup trucks across the US to upgrade their tailgate locking mechanisms. After an investigation, the company discovered the power locking mechanisms in the tailgates of certain pickups have a small internal component that may break over time. This could cause the tailgate to unlatch and open while driving, spilling the cargo onto the road and potentially causing an accident. The company says it is not aware of any related injuries or accidents. Specifically, the recall affects certain Ram 1500, 2500 and 3500 pickups from model years 2015 t...
BMW as always stuck to its “Ultimate Driving Machine” mantra, even though many of its models feature semi-autonomous technology designed to take away responsibility from the driver. Analysts expect September to show the first monthly increase in vehicle sales this year -- though their previous forecasts of sales gains for the industry in Marc...
Sometimes the new-car smell isn't what it used to be. At least not at Land Rover South Dade in Miami, where customers are greeted with subtle scents of cedar, vanilla and violet. General Manager Mark de la Cruz infuses the dealership with a custom scent called "My Way" to ensure that his vehicles don't smell like other new cars. He said the store needed a cultural change. They had to change their style of customer service, and aroma became a big component in that. The fragrance enters through the ventilation system and spreads from ceiling panels above the sales pa...
