    If president Donald Trump slaps a 25 percent tariff on imported cars, it may cost the U.S auto industry 1 million annual car sales, and that’s just the low end of the estimated damage.     Two Detroit automakers on Friday reported an increase in U.S. auto sales for May as demand for sport-utility vehicles and pickup trucks continues to buoy sales despite rising gas prices.     Volvo will not offer a diesel in its new S60 sedan, which will be released this spring.
