  • Ford seeks to cash in on a popular segment such as SUVs and hybrids
    27 Aug 2017

Some credible sources have told us that The Escape plug-in hybrid, Ford Expedition hybrid and Lincoln Navigator hybrid are scheduled for release in 2019. Ford will have a lot of hybrids on the market in just one year, so we’ve been wondering if this means that the automaker will mainly focus on hybrids. Do you also remember that in January, the automaker identified seven of the other models, including hybrid versions of the Mustang and F-150 to be available by 2020?  Ford is investing $4.5 billion to develop these 13 vehicles. • Hyundai Motor plans to grow its US sales with a new pickup truck
    22 Aug 2017

As part of the broader plan to catch up with a shift away from sedans Hyundai Motor plans to launch a pickup truck in the United States. Hyundai's top management has given the green light for development of a pickup truck similar to a show vehicle called the Santa Cruz that U.S. Hyundai executives unveiled in 2015.  Hyundai currently does not offer a pickup truck in the United States. Hyundai plans to launch a small SUV called Hyundai Kona in the United States later this year. People familiar with the automaker's plans said the pick-up truck is expected to be launched in...

  • Maserati going all-electric in 2 years
    01 Aug 2017

There are many automakers nowadays switching to the safe electric side, and we can’t ignore that. Maserati has promised that all its new Maseratis will be part-electric starting with 2019. It seems like Maserati is going to be the end of conglomerate’s push towards electrification, Ferrari by the way will follow up.  The first all-new fully-electric Maserati won’t arrive until 2020, based on the Alfieri concept of 2014. Before then, 2019 should see all existing product lines fitted with electric motors in as-yet unconfirmed configurations – although ...

  • U.S. auto market down, but not poisoned!
    26 Jun 2017

By saying the U.S. auto market goes down specialists literally ignore the fact that a shakeout normally requires a recession and rising unemployment to poison the market’s health, which by the way isn’t visible yet. Saying the consumer lending is currently in crisis is a wrong path, just like the worries that the U.S. car sales are about to dive by between 1 million to 4 million annually over the next 3 years.  The downward spiral can be saved by another government “cash for clunkers” subsidies. A stretched consumer, falling used prices, and technological obso...
