  • Trump's administration gets sued by CA, NY and other states
    11 Sep 2017

Trump’s administration gets sued by California, New York and 3 other states for delaying the rollout of higher “gas-guzzler” penalties for automakers building new vehicles failing to meet minimum fuel-economy standards. The suit, which also includes Vermont, Maryland and Pennsylvania, is the highest-profile legal challenge to Trump administration vehicle policy to date. As part of a broad deregulation push under President Donald Trump, regulators are debating whether to grant automakers significant reductions in fuel economy requirements. California Attorney General Xavier Bec...

  • Flooded Texas Dealerships Say The Situation is Catastrophic
    28 Aug 2017

The Hurricane in Texas invaded lots of dealerships, leaving them with flooded inventories. One owner of the car dealerships affected said that overall it’s catastrophic, major damage. People in their area are still trapped in attics. The dealership itself is trapped. It has anything from a foot to two feet of water in them. After an investigation made by the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission the company agreed to pay $10.1 million to settle the scandal. The investigation yielded reasonable cause that personnel at the Chicago Assembly Plant and the Chicago Stamping Plant had subjected African-American and female employees to racial and sexual harassment -- violating Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The agency also said the company retaliated against employees who complained about harassment or discr...

  • Genesis and Hyundai go separate ways
    07 Aug 2017

Genesis has amazing plans for this month, first of all it will announce a new retail strategy for the U.S., it will accelerate the separation of the automaker from the Hyundai marque, and of course will cut the number of dealerships to sell Genesis models. The transition, which was supposed to be several years off, likely will be messy and costly for Hyundai and the culled Genesis dealers. It comes less than two years after Hyundai announced the creation of the Genesis brand, barely a year after it officially put the G80 and G90 sedans on sale and just ahead of the launch of a critical ne...
