USA Porsche revealed its sales for May 2017 and it turns out that the carmaker has sold 4,805 vehicles in US. The official importer and distributor of Porsche 911, 718 Boxster and Cayman, Panamera, Cayenne, and Macan model lines in the United States announced that its year-to-year date sales stand at 23,052, up 3.7% over last year.
Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned (CPO) vehicle sales in the U.S. were 1,568. Year-to-date CPO sales stand at 7,490, an 8.8 percent increase over the same period last year. Panamera outpaced last year's May result by 114.5 percent with 768 cars sold. Year-to-date Panamera sales are 2,483 vehicles, a 46.7 percent increase over last year.
With more than 200 Porsche dealerships in the US, Porsche North America has sold fewer than two Boxster or Cayman models each on average across the entire month. This is a month in preparation for a nice warm summer, and they can't get people to buy mid-engine two-seater sports cars? Each dealer averaged about four 911s last month in comparison to more than twice as many Macans.
